## Which payment methods do Accor's terms list?

Cards and wallets, and no crypto. Clause 4.3.1 of Accor's general terms was last updated in July 2026. It says the online methods "may be" Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, Diners, UnionPay, PayPal, Alipay, WeChat Pay and others. It adds that the list is subject to change.

The same clause says each hotel may accept other means of payment on site. No Accor page we read names bitcoin, USDT or any other coin.

## Why does an Accor hotel ask for the card I booked with?

To check that the card is yours and valid. Accor's help center says: upon arrival, you must present the credit or debit card used to guarantee or prepay the booking. Its terms add that the hotel may also ask for an identity document to prevent card fraud.

This is the main difficulty for a guest without a card. If someone else paid, or if you booked through another site, tell the hotel in advance. A booking through StaySats is prepaid by us, so there is no guest card to show for the room itself.

## Does Accor take a deposit at check-in?

It may. Accor's terms cover stays that were not prepaid online. For those, the hotel may ask for a deposit or an authorization to debit your credit card on arrival. The terms also let the hotel request an authorization on the day you arrive.

Accor publishes no amount: each hotel sets its own rule. The wording "a deposit" leaves room for cash, but the terms do not say so. Ask the hotel by email, and compare other groups on our [check-in without a credit card](https://staysats.com/check-in-without-credit-card/) table. Paying ahead with StaySats does not remove the hotel's incidental deposit at check-in.

## What is the police form at an Accor hotel?

A registration form that some countries require on arrival. Accor's terms say you may be asked to fill in a police form. You must show an ID document so the hotel can check whether one is needed. If you refuse to fill in or sign the form, the hotel may refuse the room.

In France, the home country of Accor, every foreign guest signs an individual police form, EU citizens included. Minors must travel with an adult and carry their own ID document, per Accor's terms. All countries: [hotel ID rules](https://staysats.com/hotel-id-rules/).

## Is there a crypto workaround for Accor hotels?

Only for a few brands, through gift cards. Bitrefill sells gift cards for Fairmont and Raffles, two Accor luxury brands, in crypto. The Fairmont card works only at Fairmont hotels, and Fairmont says it does not guarantee cards bought from other sellers.

Accor's own ALL gift card works at more than 1,500 hotels in 20 European countries, valid 36 months. It pays at check-out only, not at booking, and only for bookings made directly with Accor. We found no page saying it can be bought in crypto.

## How do I book an Accor hotel with crypto through StaySats?

Search your city on StaySats and check the live results for an ibis, Novotel, Mercure or other Accor hotel. If one appears, check out with your crypto balance. Results depend on the prices found live for your dates, so no hotel is promised.

Bookings are made on request: after checkout, we book the room with the hotel and confirm the final total. The total is held on your balance and charged only when the hotel confirmation number is issued. We pay the hotel in local currency. For Paris stays, see our [Paris hotels](https://staysats.com/hotels/paris/) page; Accor hotels in Spain are not available yet, like all hotels in Spain.

## Accor and crypto: questions

### Does Accor accept bitcoin?

No. Accor's terms of sale, updated in July 2026, list cards and wallets such as Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Alipay and WeChat Pay, and no bitcoin. StaySats accepts BTC on-chain after 2 confirmations, holds the total on your balance, and pays the hotel in local currency.

### Can I pay an ibis or Novotel hotel in USDT?

Not directly. Accor brands such as ibis and Novotel follow the group's payment terms, which list no stablecoin. Through StaySats, you can pay in USDT on TRC-20 or ERC-20 when the hotel appears in our live results for your dates.

### Does Accor accept PayPal?

Yes, online, according to its terms. Clause 4.3.1 lists PayPal among the online methods, with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, Diners, UnionPay, Alipay and WeChat Pay. Accor notes that the list is subject to change, and each hotel may accept other methods on site.

### Can I check in at an Accor hotel without the card I booked with?

It is hard. Accor's help center says you must present the credit or debit card used for the guarantee or prepayment on arrival. If you lost the card or someone else paid, contact the hotel before you travel and ask what it will accept.

### Can I use an ALL gift card to book an Accor hotel online?

No. Accor's gift card page says the voucher cannot pay at the time of booking, only at check-out at your hotel. It works at more than 1,500 hotels in 20 European countries, for bookings made directly with Accor, and stays valid for 36 months.

### Will an Accor hotel in France ask for my passport?

Yes, if you are a foreign guest. French law makes hotels have every foreign guest, EU citizens included, sign an individual police form on arrival. Accor's terms also say you must show an ID document. StaySats asks for no ID upload at checkout.

### What do I pay for an Accor hotel booked through StaySats?

You pay the price found live for your dates, in US dollars, for the whole stay. Taxes and fees are included when the hotel publishes them; the final total is confirmed with the hotel before you are charged. Local taxes paid at the hotel, such as a city tax, are confirmed with your booking. Your balance is held, not charged, until the hotel confirmation number is issued.
