Who runs StaySats?
TravelGoat LLC, a limited liability company registered in Delaware (United States), operates StaySats and is the company you deal with when you top up and book. US law, including US sanctions rules, applies to it.
We publish only facts we can stand behind. You will not find a founding story, a team photo, ratings, testimonials or a customer count here. What you can check is on the site: our rules, our prices, our data and the date of each change.
What does StaySats sell?
Hotel bookings, paid in crypto. You search prices found live for your dates, pick a rate, and pay from your crypto balance. Bookings are made on request: our team books the room with the hotel in the lead guest's name and confirms the final total. The hotel confirms the booking with its own confirmation number.
We act as your booking agent. Your stay is governed by the hotel's policies and the rate rules confirmed with your booking. You pay StaySats in crypto; we pay the hotel in local currency.
What does StaySats not sell or promise?
We sell no flights, no car hire, no tours and no packages. Each booking is a single travel service, so EU package travel protection does not apply.
We promise no confirmation time, and no lowest price before we have compared one. We do not say that the price found is the final total: we confirm the final total with the hotel before you are charged. We never say that a hotel takes crypto at the desk. We sell no hotel in sanctioned countries or areas, and hotels in Spain are paused until our registration there is done. Where we can't sell hotels.
How does StaySats earn money?
From the hotel bookings it sells. The price is found live for your dates, and the final total is confirmed with the hotel before you are charged. There is no booking fee or card surcharge on top, and no fee for paying with one coin rather than another.
We have no token of our own and no paid membership. The full price rule is on the pricing page.
Who writes and checks StaySats pages?
The StaySats research desk of TravelGoat LLC. It writes our guides and keeps our datasets, with a source and a check date for each fact. We have not named an editor or an expert reviewer yet. Named reviewers will be listed here and on the editorial policy when appointed.
Until then, judge our pages by what you can check: the source link and the date next to each fact. How we choose sources, check facts, use AI tools and correct errors: editorial policy. Company facts for journalists: press.
How do we build our indexes and data?
With dated checks and a source for every status. We publish five datasets that crypto travellers ask about:
- The Hotel & Booking-Site Crypto Acceptance Index: which hotel groups, hotels and booking sites accept crypto directly, how, and since when. We check it every month and after any announcement. Last check: October 13, 2026. See the index.
- The Crypto Travel Seller Registry: the company, country, coins, refund form and fees of each site that sells travel for crypto. We check it every quarter. Last check: October 13, 2026. See the registry.
- The Crypto-Friendly Destinations data: for 100 destinations, the places listed on BTC Map and the local rule on paying in crypto on the spot. See the destinations.
- Hotel Check-in Without a Credit Card: what large hotel groups say about the deposit at check-in, with the legal ID rules. See the table.
- Hotel Taxes by City: the tourist taxes, levies and hotel taxes of 14 cities, how each is charged, and its source. See the table.
All five are under CC BY 4.0 and come as JSON and CSV files on open data. Each row has the date of our check and a link to its source, usually the seller's own terms or help page. A status we could not confirm is marked as such, never guessed. The date of a page changes only when a fact changes.
Are you neutral when you compare crypto travel sites?
No, and we say so on every comparison. We sell hotel bookings paid in crypto. Our offer is included and marked. To keep the comparison fair, we describe every seller, us included, with the same fields. They are company, country, coins and networks, refund of a crypto payment, published fees and ID checks.
We state only facts we found on a seller's own pages or in a dated press source, with the link. If you see an error, write to [email protected] with the source, and we will correct it and date the change.
How can I contact StaySats?
By email at [email protected], in English. For a booking, give the booking reference. We never ask for your account number, a passport scan or a selfie by email or chat. More: contact.
About StaySats: FAQ
Is StaySats a real company?
StaySats is operated by TravelGoat LLC, a limited liability company registered in Delaware (United States). The name appears in our terms and on every policy page. We publish no company history or customer numbers, only facts you can check.
Is StaySats a travel agency or a hotel?
Neither a hotel nor a tour operator. We are a booking site that acts as your booking agent. You pay us in crypto, we book the room with the hotel on request, and the hotel hosts you under its own policies.
Why does StaySats only sell hotels?
Because a hotel booking alone is a single travel service. Selling flights and hotels together on one site can create a package under EU law, with other duties. By selling hotels only, each booking stays simple: one stay, one price, one set of rate rules.
Who are your booking partners?
Companies that help us find live hotel prices and make bookings with hotels. We do not name them on the site. What matters for you is published: the price rule, the hotel confirmation number, and the refund rules when something goes wrong.
How often is your data updated?
The acceptance index is checked monthly, and sooner when a company announces a change. The seller registry, the destinations data, the check-in table and the hotel taxes table are checked quarterly. Every row carries the date of its last check. Downloads: open data.
Can I suggest a correction to your index?
Yes. Write to [email protected] with the row, the change and a source, ideally the company's own page. We check it, correct the row if the source confirms it, and record the date of the change.
