What should I know about ETH before I pay a hotel?
Ether (ETH) is the native coin of Ethereum, so an ETH top-up is a plain transfer, not a token transfer. A standard ETH transfer needs 21,000 units of gas, paid in ETH from the same wallet. The same 0x address format is used on layer-2 networks such as Arbitrum and Base, which are not accepted. We credit an ETH top-up after 12 confirmations.

Can I send ETH from Arbitrum or Base?
No. Arbitrum, Base, Optimism and zkSync are separate networks that use the same 0x address format. ETH sent on them does not arrive on the Ethereum mainnet address shown on the payment page. Bridge or withdraw to the mainnet first, then send.
How much ETH should I keep for gas?
We give no figure, because gas changes with demand. Your wallet shows the gas estimate before you confirm. Keep a little more ETH than the amount on the payment page, so that the exact amount still arrives after the gas is paid.
Is my ETH top-up converted?
Yes. After 12 confirmations, the ETH you sent is credited to your balance in US dollars, at the rate locked on the payment page. Hotel prices and holds are in US dollars.
Is ETH or USDT on ERC-20 cheaper to send?
A plain ETH transfer needs 21,000 units of gas. A USDT or USDC transfer on Ethereum goes through a token contract and usually needs more gas. Both pay gas in ETH, at the same gas price. We publish no fee figure until we have measured one.
