Who owns and runs Travala?

Travala.com is operated by Travala Pte. Ltd., per its terms and conditions read on October 12, 2026. The terms describe it as a company registered in Singapore and give its registered address on Robinson Road. You can look the company up in Singapore's official business register, run by ACRA.

The terms also say Travala is not a custodian of your assets. For crypto, it uses the custodial services of BitGo Singapore Pte. Ltd. (clause 8.3).

How does Travala refund a crypto payment?

Travala refunds in a form that depends on how you paid. A plain crypto payment comes back as Travel Credits in your Travala wallet, per its help center. The timeline starts only when the supplier's refund reaches Travala.

Can you cash out Travala Travel Credits?

No. Travala's help center says Travel Credits "cannot be redeemed for cash, cryptocurrency, or any other form of consideration". They are not transferable and cannot be sold or traded (article updated August 12, 2026). You can only spend them on another Travala booking.

This matters most after a cancellation. If you paid in BTC or USDT and the booking is refunded, the value stays at Travala as credit. To get crypto back, Travala's own rule is to pay with Binance Pay (refunded in USDT) or Crypto.com Pay (refunded in the same crypto).

What fees does Travala publish?

Travala publishes fixed fees for flights and general rules for the rest, per its terms read on October 12, 2026.

• Voiding a flight: a non-refundable fee of $15 per booking, usually within 24 hours of booking (clause 9.5).
• Processing a flight refund: a non-refundable fee of $25 per person, on top of the airline's own fees (clause 9.5).
• Hotels: "Cancellation Fees" may include Travala's own administrative or processing fees, besides the hotel's penalty (clauses 9.1 and 9.4). No amount is published.
• Cards: a surcharge may apply, shown before you complete the booking (clause 8.5).
• Crypto: no extra fee for paying in crypto is announced on its payment page.

Does Travala ask for ID, or freeze funds?

Travala allows guest checkout, but its terms let it ask for more at any time. Clause 4.4 says you must comply with its "Compliance Requirements" when required. Clauses 4.5 and 4.6 allow it to freeze or hold assets until you show you are entitled to them.

Clause 8.4 adds that a crypto payment counts only once the transaction meets those requirements. Rules like these are common at companies that handle crypto. Read them before you send a large amount.

Which countries can't use Travala?

Travala's terms list "Prohibited Jurisdictions": Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Myanmar, Syria, Venezuela, Crimea, and the Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions of Ukraine (clause 1.3). The list also covers any place under UN, EU, US, UK or Singapore sanctions, and "may change without notice". By using the site, you state that you are not located or resident there (clause 2.3).

How big is Travala?

Travala reported over $113 million of annual gross revenue in 2025, per CCN on February 26, 2026. We found no revenue figure for the other crypto-native sellers in our seller registry. In February 2025, it said 78% of its 2024 bookings were paid in crypto, per The Block.

It lists more than 2.2 million properties, per the same report. In 2026 it added an AI booking connector (MCP) that takes USDC on Base, and an AI agent with BNB Chain and Binance Pay. These are company figures, not audited ones.
