What should I know about Bitcoin before I pay a hotel?
A Bitcoin top-up is an on-chain transaction on the Bitcoin network, never a Lightning payment. Bitcoin addresses come in four common formats: Taproot (bc1p), native SegWit (bc1q), script (3) and legacy (1). We credit a Bitcoin top-up after 2 confirmations, and the BTC is converted to US dollars at the rate locked when you started the top-up.
How do I send BTC on Bitcoin for a top-up?
Start a top-up in your account and pick Bitcoin (BTC). Then:
Choose BTC on the Bitcoin network
On an exchange, pick BTC and the Bitcoin network; in a wallet, make a normal on-chain send, not a Lightning payment.
Paste the address and the exact BTC amount
Copy both from the payment page. The amount has many decimals: keep all of them.
Pick a fee rate and send within 30 minutes
A higher fee rate in satoshis per virtual byte usually confirms sooner. The amount and rate shown are locked for 30 minutes.
Which network must I use to send BTC?
Use the Bitcoin network (an on-chain transaction), and nothing else.
What does a BTC top-up cost?
A Bitcoin fee depends on the size of the transaction in virtual bytes and on demand for block space, not on the amount you send. Wallets let you set a fee rate in satoshis per virtual byte. The hotel price is the same in every coin. We give no network fee figure until we have measured one.
Does my BTC top-up keep its value until I book?
The BTC price moves. The payment page locks the BTC amount and its rate for 30 minutes, and once 2 confirmations are reached your balance is in US dollars. Later moves of the BTC price do not change it.
Which wallet or exchange can I send BTC from?
If your wallet supports Replace-by-Fee (RBF), you can raise the fee of a transaction that waits too long. Keep the amount sent to us the same.

Why only 2 confirmations for Bitcoin?
It is our rule for crediting a Bitcoin top-up: after 2 blocks on top of your transaction, the amount is credited in US dollars. The usual time is on the pay with crypto page. A low fee rate can keep a transaction waiting longer before the first confirmation.
If the BTC price falls after I top up, does my hotel budget fall?
No. Once your Bitcoin top-up is confirmed, your balance is in US dollars, and the total of the stay is held and charged in US dollars. Price moves of BTC after the credit do not change your balance.
Can I get a hotel refund back in BTC?
No. Withdrawable amounts are paid in USDT (TRC-20 or ERC-20) or USDC (ERC-20) only, never in BTC. You can also keep them as balance credit for your next booking.
What if my Bitcoin transaction is stuck with a low fee?
Wait, or raise the fee if your wallet supports Replace-by-Fee (RBF), keeping the same amount and address. The top-up is credited after 2 confirmations, whenever they happen. If it stays unconfirmed for a long time, write to [email protected] with the transaction ID.
