LockTrip sells hotels only. Its terms, updated September 24, 2026, name Locktrip Ltd., with a seat in Sofia, Bulgaria, and company number (UIC) 204752244. Its AML policy names LockTrip LLC under the same number, and the Bulgarian Commercial Register lists "LockTrip" LLC, a single-member company in Sofia. Its llms.txt claims more than 2.5 million properties, while its crypto page says 2.1 million. LockTrip also runs a public booking API for AI agents (MCP); searching it needs no key.
LockTrip also has a row in our crypto travel seller registry, with its sources and the date of our check.
LockTrip's own pages give two refund rules. Its terms refund crypto payments in USDC. Its FAQ says refunds go to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, minus a processing fee of up to 2%. It names 21 coins but no network, so you cannot check in advance whether USDT on Tron works. Its terms also show prices only after you create an account.
Our side comes from our pricing and refund pages.
LockTrip: USDC for crypto payments, per its terms; the original payment method, minus up to 2%, per its FAQ. StaySats: when the hotel can't host you, 100% of the stay in USDT or USDC within 7 days, or balance credit if you choose it.
LockTrip names 21 coins but no network. StaySats names each network: USDT on TRC-20 or ERC-20, USDC on ERC-20, plus BTC, ETH, SOL and LTC.
LockTrip also takes cards, through Stripe and Revolut, and its LOC token. StaySats takes crypto only, from a prepaid balance.
LockTrip's terms require an account to see prices, and its AML policy asks for a national ID or passport when it verifies a user. StaySats asks for the lead guest's name and an email address, with no ID upload.
LockTrip does not say on the pages we read. StaySats holds the amount while we book the room on request, and charges it only when the hotel confirmation number is issued.
LockTrip is the better choice if you like to compare room offers one by one. On October 12, 2026, its public API showed a room-only rate and a breakfast rate for the same room. LockTrip suits developers too, because its booking API is public and documented. It also accepts cards and its LOC token.
LockTrip suits: Travellers who compare room offers one by one, LOC holders, and developers who want a public hotel booking API.
A Bulgarian company. Its terms, updated September 24, 2026, name Locktrip Ltd., with a seat in Sofia and company number (UIC) 204752244. Its AML policy names LockTrip LLC under the same number. The Bulgarian Commercial Register lists "LockTrip" LLC, a single-member company (EOOD) in Sofia. We read all three on October 13, 2026.
Its pages give two rules. Its terms say a crypto payment is refunded in the USDC stablecoin, "due to cryptocurrency price/value volatility and regulatory requirements". Its FAQ says refunds go to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, with a non-refundable processing fee of up to 2%. When a seller's pages disagree, we quote both.
We do not know yet: we have no fair price comparison between the two sites. Our only check, on October 12, 2026, mixed a price with taxes and a price that did not say. A measured comparison will show its date, its method and each site's total with taxes. StaySats shows the price found live for your dates. The final total is confirmed with the hotel before you are charged.
Not on its website: its terms show prices only after you register or sign in with a social network account. Its public API differs: a guest session opens from an email address only, which creates an account. That session can search, prepare a booking and pay, but cannot list or cancel bookings. StaySats creates an account number at your first top-up, with no email needed to top up; each booking needs an email address.
21 cryptocurrencies, per its crypto page: BTC, ETH, USDT, BNB, XRP, USDC, LTC, DOGE, SOL and others, plus its own LOC token. Its FAQ says card payments go through Stripe and Revolut. The pages we read do not name a network for USDT. StaySats takes USDT on Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20).
