Does Agoda accept crypto?

Can I pay Agoda with bitcoin or USDT?

No. Clause 7.2 of Agoda's terms of use sets the rule. To make a booking, you need a credit card, debit card, digital wallet or other payment method Agoda accepts. The terms, in force since July 10, 2026, do not name any cryptocurrency, and we found no crypto option announced by Agoda.

What do Agoda's terms say about payment and deposits?

The terms describe four ways to pay: Pay Now, Book Now Pay Later, Pay at Hotel and Book with Zero Pay. The price can depend on the option, the display currency and the currency of your card. Your display currency is set from your IP address or your account settings, and you can change it.

On deposits, clause 15.2 says that a property may pre-authorize your card and charge a deposit, or charge the full amount up front. Some properties need your card details to guarantee the booking, and Agoda may pass them on. Clause 7.6.5 adds that a property may refuse bookings from some passports or paid with methods issued by some banks.

Can you book Agoda without a credit card?

Sometimes, but not with crypto. Agoda's help center says some rooms can be booked without card details; you pick that option when it is offered. Pay-at-hotel rooms, it adds, often need a credit card to secure the reservation.

Book Now, Pay Later still needs a payment method on file. The terms allow a small verification charge or pre-authorization on it when you book. Book with Zero Pay asks for no payment details when you book; you pay later with an India-issued payment method. It is only for hotels in India, booked from an Indian IP address. Is there a way to book Agoda hotels with crypto?

Only indirect ones, each with clear limits:

• Travala. In August 2020, Travala, a crypto travel site, added about 600,000 Agoda hotels, payable in up to 30 cryptocurrencies at the time. A booking made there follows Travala's own rules. We did not check whether this supply deal still runs.
• Agoda Singapore gift card. A crypto gift card reseller sells a 100 SGD Agoda code. It is a single-use discount for prepaid hotels with the Promotion Eligible banner, booked on the website, not the app. It covers room charges only and works only in Singapore. It was sold out on October 12, 2026.

Can I use a crypto card on Agoda?

Yes, if Agoda accepts it as a debit card or in a digital wallet. A card funded from crypto turns your coins into money when you pay, and Agoda's terms accept credit cards, debit cards and digital wallets.

Mind the deposit rule. A property may pre-authorize your card for a deposit, so keep enough money on the crypto card during the stay. The card issuer adds conversion costs and usually checks your ID. Paying in crypto may be a taxable event in your country. Check local rules.
