Quick answer

Does Trip.com accept crypto?

Partly, per press reports, not officially. Trip.com has reportedly accepted USDT and USDC for prepaid bookings since October 9, 2025. The option depends on your IP address and appears in some markets only, not in mainland China. Its own payment-methods page, updated June 25, 2026, does not list stablecoins. StaySats sells hotel bookings paid in crypto.

Row of our crypto acceptance index. "Reported" means press reports only: Trip.com has not published the option, and we could not test it from our location.

Does Trip.com accept USDT and USDC?

Yes for some users, according to the press, but Trip.com has not announced it. On December 29, 2025, the South China Morning Post reported that Trip.com accepts USDT and USDC for prepaid bookings on its international platform. A customer service agent gave October 9, 2025 as the start date and said the option depends on the user's IP address.

Trip.com did not respond to the newspaper. On October 12, 2026, we read its payment-methods help page, updated June 25, 2026. It listed cards, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Trip Coins, gift cards and pay-later options. It did not mention stablecoins. That is why our index shows "reported", not "yes". The other booking sites in our index, such as Booking.com, take no crypto.

Which networks and fees were reported for Trip.com?

From a test made in Vietnam and published by Foresight News in December 2025. One tester, one country: treat these as examples, not rules.

ItemWhat was reported
NetworksEthereum, TRON, Polygon, Solana, Arbitrum One, TON
ProcessorTriple-A, based in Singapore
Fee with an exchange QR payment1 USDT, with a 10 USDT minimum transfer
Fee with a self-custody wallet0 USDT on the first payment, 2.39 USDT on the second

Prices differ by date, market and product. We did not repeat this test.

Why can't I see the stablecoin option on Trip.com?

Because the option is shown only to some users. The reports agree on four conditions:

  • Your IP address. Trip.com decides by IP whether to show stablecoins. Users in mainland China do not see it. The SCMP did not see it in Hong Kong in December 2025.
  • Prepaid bookings. The reports mention prepaid bookings only, so a pay-at-hotel rate should not show the option.
  • The international site. The option was reported on Trip.com, not on its Chinese sister site.
  • App and site versions. Trip.com's help page warns that supported payment channels may change with app or website updates.

No public list of eligible countries exists. If you don't see the option at checkout, it is not offered to you.

The Trip.com column may change without notice. Check the checkout before you pay.

What should I check before paying Trip.com in stablecoins?

Check the same four points as for any crypto payment:

  1. The network. Send USDT or USDC only on the network the payment page shows. Funds sent on another network may be lost.
  2. The total. Your wallet or exchange may add its own fee, as the Vietnam test showed.
  3. The refund rule. We found no public rule on how a stablecoin payment is refunded. Ask before you book a refundable rate.
  4. The tax rule. Paying in crypto may be a taxable event in your country. Check local rules.

Outside the markets where the option appears, a card funded from crypto works like any Visa or Mastercard on Trip.com. The card issuer adds its own costs and usually checks your ID.

How does StaySats take USDT for a hotel?

StaySats takes USDT on Tron (TRC-20), credited after 20 confirmations, or on Ethereum (ERC-20), credited after 12. Top up from $25; your balance is in US dollars once the payment is confirmed.

At checkout, the exact total of the stay is held. Bookings are made on request: we book the room with the hotel and confirm the final total. The balance is charged only when the hotel confirmation number is issued. If we can't confirm, the full amount is released at once. Which network to pick, step by step: TRC-20 or ERC-20 for hotels.
